KARACHI: Minister for Local Government (LG) system Agha Siraj Durrani has claimed holding the Local Bodies (LB) elections on political party basis within 90 coming days, Geo news reported.
This minister stated talking to newsmen following his appearance before a NAB court here in metropolis on Saturday afternoon.
Agha Siraj Durrani said, “Why is it impossible to hold LB polls within 90 days?” questioning, “Do I look like Pervez Musharraf?”
He said upon the directions of former chairman NAB Saifur Rehman, a judicial case was filed against him but no eyewitness came to surface against him.
The preparations of Local Bodies (LB) elections will soon be kicked off following the placement of administrators in province while we will make all-out efforts to make this maiden polls, being held during PPP era, remarkable, he vowed
